Loaf is a hand-formed metal container made in the metalworking workshop at HSLU. The name is straightforward — the rounded, hammered form is an unmistakable nod to a bread box, reinterpreted in steel. The two halves slide apart to open, a mechanism that required exact alignment of the grooves running along the seam. The result sits somewhere between heavy and soft, designed to hold its own as a standalone object.
