Colm started with a simple idea: a vase should step back and let the flowers do the talking. Cast in beeswax from a folded paper mould, the form echoes the familiar — smooth, round, unassuming — but up close the surface reveals distinct flat facets, a trace of the paper mould it came from. Beeswax carries the warmth of its origin — and all of its fragility. It looks more permanent than it is, but far more forgiving: a broken beeswax vase can be melted down in a pot on the kitchen stove and recast the same afternoon.
